Some people were not happy with my “Mickey Mouse” review from August 2nd. It amazed me how many positive reviews there actually were on Apple’s new creation. I could hardly find one reviewer that did not like it. It was no surprise to me that it is selling well. Most Apple stores can not keep them on the shelves. But that does not make it a great mouse or even a “Mighty Mouse”.
Well now Walt Mossberg seems to agree with me. I feel that I am in good company here as Mr. Mossberg is like me, not easily impressed and tries to remain unbiased. As much as I am a big fan of Apple and its products. I will not just going to like it because they introduced it. Sorry to say I liked my Microsoft mouse better which is attached to one of my desktop Macs.
Seems Walt Mossberg also liked the Microsoft mouse better and says it was easier to use. I suggest you read his review before you buy an Apple Mighty Mouse. You can read it here.
I am still happy to say that Apple is now moving in line with 90% plus of all computer users and finally admitting that users want a multi-button mouse. I also give a great deal of credit to Apple for trying to innovate. I just am not happy with the result this time out. Functionality is more important than design in this case. Microsoft wins this one in my opinion, sorry!

Your review is about as well considered as the atrocious graphics you use in your blog. Sorry I wasted 15 seconds of my life reading it. Well, that and 45 seconds for all the ads to load.
Back to the review: did you even use the mouse for a few days, or just plagarize the WSJ?
I suspect any intelligent person would probably have a differnt impression of it after actually using it, and not just trying a few clicks on Garage Band at the Apple Store.
My first post was on August 2 an entire week before Walt Mossberg’s well done review. The same day Apple introduced the new mouse. I clearly stated that I only tested the mouse in the Apple Store and did not buy it. The time I spent using it was all I needed to decide that mouse I already own could not be replaced with Apple’s Mighty Mouse. I own several mouse from Microsoft, Radtech, and others. All are more suitable to my needs. I you want a more in-depth review I suggest you read Mr. Mossberg’s as I suggested in my second post on the subject.
As far as the personal attacks and phony email address you used goes. I will just guess that you do not agree with me. So I will not drop down to this level. I did post your comment anyway and have taken the high road here. My blog is all about my opinion. This was mine on the new mouse from Apple. There are plenty of positive reviews on the Mighty Mouse all over. Pick one you like.

This is one of the most arrogant reviews I have ever read.
You assume that because Apple introduced it, their fans will run out and buy it without any consideration of function. Sorry, but I don’t remember stores taking lists for the hockey puck mice. We’re not as stupid as you think.
All those reviewers who said positive things about it are also simpletons in your view–easily impressed by something shiny. Only you and Walt Mossberg have any sense of journalistic non-bias on this…
Oh, and for all your lack of bias and inability to be easily impressed, you still wrote the following ‘sentence’, “I will not just going to like it because they introduced it.” Mossberg would be so proud.
You have to expect at least one retaliatory post whenever you criticize something Apple makes. There is such a fiercely loyal fan base that simply has no tolerance for any opinion outside their own. That being said, it’s good to see someone who’s not afraid to point out what’s wrong with something Apple has made. If they’re smart, they’ll pay attention to criticism and incorporate suggestions to make their future products better. All the zealots actually hurt Apple more than help it. I got a chance to try the mouse as well and will not be purchasing it either. Flame away
I was sure I would get flamed a bit when I gave my honest opinion about the new mouse. I am a long time Mac user and a big fan of Apple as it has been my main platform for sometime.
First off the “hockey puck” mouse was not sold as a separate item in any store, it was sold with a new machine. Many of them ended up on ebay with people trying to sell them for less than $5! Or as I said in a forgotten drawer. The “hockey puck” mouse was not sold at $49 for a wired mouse, when you can easily buy a bluetooth one for around the same price. I will always give my honest opinion even if it is against an Apple product. Mr Mossberg is one of the most respected tech journalists due to his non-bias. Even by Steve Jobs, who quotes him all the time. Mossberg has praised Apple many times and even has recommended Macs in the past.
I do not think Mac users are “stupid”. In fact I think they are some of the most informed and innovative users on the planet. But I will still will always point out where Apple needs improvement, “IN MY OPINION”.
