Image Capture is an application that is one of the least understood of the included apps in OS X. That’s right it is included. What, you do not know what I am referring to? Take a look in your application folder. Have you ever used this? Maybe not. Image Capture has some cool, but also very poorly documented, features. Of course iPhoto gets all the attention as part of iLife. But actually it was Image Capture that gave iPhoto much of its power and preceded it. Read this post and maybe you will want to add this to your work-flow. It has some unique features Mac users can enjoy. Not even iPhoto has many of these features.

Apple introduced a multi-button mouse today, finally! For years they have been under the false impression that a one button mouse was easier to use and that a multi-button mouse was not needed. This from the people that brought us the “hockey-puck” mouse that was unusable for most humans with its one button. It always amazed me that Apple, the company that is the authority on UI (user Interface) and makes some of the best user friendly software. The company that first brought consumers the lab mice they found deep inside Xerox Palo Alto. Could make such a badly designed mouse as the old “hockey-puck” mouse. Many users threw it out or it sits at the very bottom of an unused drawer.
