iTunes Tip #10
You usually need to check or uncheck tracks to choose which tracks to import or play. Instead of clicking and clicking to select which tracks to check or uncheck, here is a much faster way.
Highlight multiple tracks in iTunes by clicking once on the first track and while holding down the “Shift” key and clicking on the last track. This will select all the tracks in between. Or you can click once on the first track and while holding down the “Command” key (Apple key), click on the each track you want to highlight. This will allow you to highlight tracks you want randomly.
Then, Control + mouse click (right + click for you multi-button mouse users) and the context-sensitive menu will appear.
Click to “Uncheck Selection” if the selected tracks are all checked.

Click to “Check Selection” if the selected tracks are all unchecked.

If the selection is not all checked or all unchecked, both “Uncheck Selection” and “Check Selection” will appear. Select the option you want.

*Note this works in iTunes 5 or higher.
