iPhoto Tip #2
Sharing your iPhoto Albums and images with other Mac users computers on your local network is “built-in” to iPhoto allowing people to view your photos.
How to Start Sharing Between Macs iPhoto Libraries
Go to iPhoto menu item -> Preferences -> Open the iPhoto Preferences then,
Choose the Sharing tab and set up what you would like to share and to look for others that are sharing. This needs to be setup once.

Now “shared” iPhoto Libraries will show up on the right side in with the other Mac users iPhoto. Just choose it and select what you to view.

Click on the Shared Library and all the shared albums will load.

Enjoy the photos!
Firewall Settings
If you have your built-in OS X Firewall turned on (and you should). You must turn on the iPhoto Sharing filter for iPhoto Sharing to work.
Here is how:
Under Apple menu, click on System Preferences. Go to the Sharing preference pane and click on the Firewall tab, start Firewall. You may choose to allow iTunes Sharing to pass Firewall here.
