iPhoto Tip #3
Using Titles and Comments pane in iPhoto is a great step toward getting your photos organized and makes them easier to search for a particular image as your library grows.
Here’s how:
Highlight a photo by clicking once on it with your mouse and then click once on the Information pane button at bottom right. This is the one with the “i” on it.

The Title and Comment dialog box will open.

Now click to assign a title and/or comment to the photo. You can also assign a “rating” to your photo or change the date if you wish.
Adding this information will make this photo much easier to search for.

Now just searching for “Fred” or “shirt” is easy! This is also helpful when you are searching for a photo when you are using iMovie or iDVD!
Tips on Titles and Comments
Titles should be short descriptions like Sean’s Birthday or Day at Six Flags. Comments should be more descriptive about the particular image such as Fred wearing his new white company T-shirt.
The Titles assigned to photos can be displayed in iPhoto by using the View menu and selecting clicking on “Titles” Under the View menu you can also Sort by Title or Rating.
Titles can also be used as captions for Photo Books and Web Photo Albums.
If you want to check your spelling of your title or comments just highlight the text and go to Edit menu -> Spelling -> Check Spelling. Or use the keyboard shortcut Command (Apple key) + ; (semi-colon). There is also the choice to “Check Spelling as You Type” under the some menu.
