iTunes Tip #26
As of iTunes 6.0.2, any video you add can be shared with other users on your local network. But any video added before the update to iTunes 6.0.2 will not show up when sharing. Want to fix this?

Here’s how:
Drag the video files from iTunes to your desktop, this will copy the video file here.

Then delete the video file from the iTunes application

Then “Add to the Library” in iTunes again (just double clicking on the video file on your desktop usually will work). Now the video will show up to be shared. You can now “delete” the copy of the video file on your desktop.

How to Start Sharing Between Computers iTunes Libraries
Go to iTunes menu item -> Preferences -> Open the General Preferences then,

iTunes General Preferences

Choose the Sharing tab and set up what you would like to share and to look for others that are sharing. This needs to be setup once.

Sharing Preference

Now “shared” iTunes Libraries will show up on the right side in with your playlists. Just choose it and select what you want to listen to or view. Please take note that “protected” content purchased from the iTunes Music Store cannot be played on any computer that is not “authorized” to listen to it. See OS X Tip #32 for info on how this works.

Note: You can “share” iTunes with users on the same Mac. Set up sharing the same way. Turn on Fast User Switching, leave your account logged on and iTunes open. When you log into the other account you will see the shared iTunes Library. See OS X Tip #8: Fast User Switching for help.

Firewall Settings
If you have your built-in OS X Firewall turned on (and you should). You must turn on the iTunes Sharing filter for iTunes Sharing to work.

Here is how:
Under Apple menu, click on System Preferences. Go to the Sharing preference pane and click on the Firewall tab, start Firewall. You may choose to allow iTunes Sharing to pass Firewall here.
