OS X Tip #87
Of course Spotlight allows for a great way to search your Mac for stuff, but it can do more.

You can save time and use Spotlight to launch applications keeping your fingers on the keyboard. Of course you need to be running 10.4 + for this to work.

Here’s how:
Command (Apple key) + Space to start Spotlight.

Start typing the name of the application you want to launch. A drop down menu will appear. Use your arrow down key to choose the application and hit “Return” (Enter) and your application will launch, NO MOUSE REQUIRED!
