On a lighter note, Wil Shipley of Delicious Monster wants to bet Bill Gates that Windows Vista does not ship on time. Bill Gates recently went on record saying that he felt Windows Vista had an 80% chance of shipping by January, 2007. To say this was on-time, would be someting to chuckle about, from the many delays Vista, formally know as “LATE-HORN, oh I mean Longhorn, has had. Recently, there have been several reports from different sources, like Gartner and Microsoft Watch, claiming Vista will be delayed, yet again. Most times Microsoft has denied this, but has purportedly “ripped” out all that was interesting in the features that Vista was to deliver.

I remember quite awhile back when a alpha version of what Vista was supposed to look like was shown by Bill Gates at a Microsoft tech conference, and parts of it looked a whole lot like Wil Shipley’s Delicious Library. Wil is located in Seattle, Washington, near Microsoft in Redmond. But somehow I doubt, they will be having lunch anytime soon.
Anyway, Delicious Library is “on sale” for $25, for a limited time. It is one of my favorite Mac only applications. If you have not tried it out, now may be the time. It is a beautiful application. I am not saying that Mr. Shipley is not using this to market his product. I do agree with him however, I have a hunch that Vista will not ship in any “real” form in January 2007. I think Wil Shipley’s money is safe.
