If you want to add a song or an entire album to your iPod, but not have in your iTunes Library, you can use Rip To iPod. This is a script that will adds tracks to your iPod while it imports, then deletes them from iTunes.

Just check the CD track(s) you want to add to your iPod in iTunes they will copy to your iPod, and then removes the track(s) from the iTunes library, giving the appearance of seamless CD-to-iPod importing.

This works for Mac OS X or OS 9 only.
