Do you hate the sound when you empty the Trash on your Mac? Are people in the library saying Ssssshhhh to you? Well turn it off.

Here’s how:
Open System Preferences by going to Apple menu (Apple logo at top left menu bar) -> System Preferences -> Sound Preference -> Sound Effects tab.

Sound Preferences

Simply uncheck the “Play user sound effects” this will turn off the Trash sound and other noisy interface sounds.
