TransGaming’s new Cider software (coming soon to Macs near you) will allow Windows PC games to run on Intel Macs. There’s no rebooting involved and no separate Windows partition to be installed. It all happens transparently. The company claims that Cider games will run as if they were made for Mac OS X.
Cider works similar to CodeWeavers’ Crossover Mac I posted on the other day. Both have their roots in the open source WINE project. Although, Cider was branched away from WINE a few years ago to specifically focus on getting Windows games to run well on Intel-based Macs.

According to TransGaming, Mac users will begin seeing Cider-enhanced games appear on store shelves in October, in time for the holidays.
