Need a picture of a Dashboard Widget? You be wondering how to do this as Dashboard is only active when you press the F-12 key. As soon as you would launch an application like Grab the widgets go away! Well actually it is easy.
Here’s how:
To take screenshots of widgets press Command (Apple key) + Shift + 4 all at the same time and then press the Space bar. Your Mac’s cursor will turn into a camera icon.
Now press the F-12 key to activate Dashboard.
Hover the camera over the widget you want to capture and click the mouse. Done!
