:: Is Bill Gates Losing His Grip on Reality?

Bill Gates ArrestNow that Windows Vista has made its debut, Bill Gates is in the media to promoting it. Let’s face it the glitzy launch party Microsoft has tagged, “The WOW starts now” has been more of “the YAWN has finally started, and Apple already DID that!” Most tech journalist as well as many main stream media journalists has seen the literal “copy-the-CAT” now out from Redmond. Many of them have been asking Mr. Gates, the richest man in the world, “why upgrade to Vista?” with its very high hardware needs. Many have asked about the obvious “similarities” that Apple has had in OS X for years.

What I find strange is Mr. Gates reaction to some of the reporters. He comes across smug, upset, and sometimes a bit crazy. In recent years I have seen Microsoft’s chairman and founder, get like this when Google is mentioned when he is interviewed. In his latest media rounds, he seems to have really lost it. Why is he worried? Windows Vista will be the most successful, operating systems ever launched. Innovative, NOT! Maybe it was the six billion that his company spent to launch what already existed years before it, OS X. His interview for NEWSWEEK is eye-opening.
