Apple today launched its Back-to-School promotion, offering a $199 rebate on any iPod nano or iPod video with the purchase of any qualified Mac (iMac, MacBook, Mac Pro, and MacBook Pro). Called “Major in Mac,” the program runs through September 16 and offers education customers a free iPod with virtually every Mac purchase. The mail-in rebate is also available online for faster processing. As required by Connecticut and Rhode Island laws, Apple will provide an instant rebate of $199 (at time of purchase) to residents of Connecticut and Rhode Island who are Apple Education Individuals making qualified purchases under the terms of Apple’s Major in Mac Promotion.
