OS X Tip #148
If you work with graphic applications like Adobe Illustrator you may have come across EPS files. If you have ever received one of these from a Graphic Designer or want to sent one to another person they may have a problem opening an EPS file without owning a high end graphic application. Luckily, OS X’s Preview application makes easy work out of converting them to a more standard PDF file.

Here’s how:
Just open the EPS file in Preview (Applications -> Preview).

Preview will open the EPS file and automatically convert it to PDF.

To convert the EPS to PDF to send to someone else. Just choose “Save” from the File menu, and it will save your file as a PDF!
