Chris Pirillo describes in this very long video why he had to “upgrade” from Windows Vista to Windows XP! Seems even a Windows power user that has spent years helping others fix Windows problems on TV on shows like Call For Help, has given up on Vista, at least for now. Chris gives Microsoft an “F” on their 6 month report card and praises Apple’s OS X (although he claims that all OSes suck), which angered some of his “cult-like” followers. To this Chris says “don’t blame me that this stuff doesn’t work.” I think Chris is just telling the truth, which sometimes hurts. Chris also explains that many of his close Windows friends have switched to the Mac. The problems he describe may explain why Vista is banned or not yet implemented on so many corporate networks still including even Windows vendors like Dell. I have to wonder if Microsoft and its software/hardware partners listen to its users at all? According to Chris, a beta tester for Vista and former MVP for Microsoft claims feedback falls on deaf ears and they ignore bug reports that are pointed out time and again! He also is contemplating switching his parents to OS X and claims friends inside of Microsoft HAVE already switched to OS X. Chris says OS X Leopard is WOW, not Vista! Being able to run Windows apps inside of OS X has him on the fence of switching too.
