OS X Leopard Tip #4
One really nice new feature of Leopard is the ability to use “Web Clip” in Safari to quickly build a Dashboard Widget. This tip will show you how to make a “widget” to watch YouTube videos right in Dashboard.

Here’s how:
webclipbutton.jpgWith Safari go to YouTube. Now click on the “Web Clip” button on the Toolbar (the button with the scissors on it). If you do not see the “Web Clip” button on the Toolbar. Go to View -> Customize Toolbar and add it by dragging “Open in Dashboard” button to the Safari Toolbar.

Now move the highlighted area over the “Videos being watched right now” section of the screen, and press Add.

Web clip will then make the dashboard widget for you. What is nice about this particular widget is when you click to play it the video will play directly in the Dashboard widget instead of going to the YouTube website.
