OS X Leopard Tip #11
Photo Booth may be one of the most popular pre-installed applications on the Mac, especially with kids. If you have tried it out you may be pretty familiar with the “filters” that come with it that allow you to transform your pictures into creative works of art.
What you may not realize is how you can tap into this while in the Address Book.
Here’s how:
Launch Address Book and pick a contact or add a new contact. While in edit mode or adding a new contact click on the photo field.

This will open the Address Book’s contact image editor.

After either adding a photo or taking a photo, click the “swirly cube” button next to the camera button.
This will bring up the filters (a lot like Photo Booth) that you can easily apply to the contact photo.

There are 35 different filters to choose from bringing some fun with contact photos you might not otherwise care for.
