Sun Microsystems announced Sun xVM VirtualBox, a free and open source desktop virtualization system for Mac OS X Leopard, Windows, Linux and Solaris that will compete with VMware Fusion and Parallels Desktop. This is another choice for Mac users that need or desire to run Windows or Linux without having to reboot. Windows and Linux users can run most any x86 OS, except Mac OS X.
