:: Apple TV Update Arrives

Apple has pushed out an update for the Apple TV. You can get the update by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update on your Apple TV

Apple TV 2.1 adds support for MobileMe and the new Remote application that will be free in the App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch. MobileMe now shows up in the Photo section and there is a way to connect with the new iPhone and iPod touch remote application under the Settings -> General -> Remotes section. So far it does not seem to scroll any better which makes me sad. I will need to play with this more.

:: App Store Almost Launched

Although the App Store has not officially launched yet, I was able to find and download iPhone/iPod touch apps from the iTunes Store. Check out this iTunes link.

I found the free remote app from Apple under iPhone Applications. It will be able to control iTunes and the Apple TV! There seems to be a lot of apps that will be available for free or reasonable prices with 500 plus applications and 25 percent are free. I already downloaded 14 apps for the iPhone and iPod touch. As soon as you download an app it appears in the new Application section of iTunes as you might expect. I will need the new software 2.0 to use any of them which is expected later today.
