Apple is now selling HD (high definition) movies in the iTunes Store as well as renting them. The HD version – is selling for $19.99 as compared to the usual $14.99 for SD (standard definition) versions. Pre-orders Quantum of Solace and Twilight are available as well as several others that can be purchased right now. The HD movies also come with an SD version for your iPhone and iPod.
Guess we can see another reason why Apple claims Blu-ray is a “bag of hurt” as described by Steve Jobs himself. A guess it would be a “a bag of hurt” to Apple’s bottom line!
