I have been using Fring and Nimbuzz to make Skype calls on my iPhone, but now I am excited to get the official Skype app due tomorrow.

CNET and PCWorld are reporting that Skype is coming to the iPhone tomorrow, BlackBerry devices in May. Fring and Nimbuzz should be easily bested by the official Skype App that doesn’t need the extra audio transcoding. The SkypeOut calls will work over WiFi only and will use your iPhone Contacts in addition to many of the other features you’ve used from the desktop client. iPod touch (second generation owners will require earphones with an embedded mic to talk. UPDATE: Engadget is reporting that Skype for iPhone is LIVE in Japan already.
