Chieftent – Advanced Basecamp client (Former Basetent), $9.99 – is a missing Basecamp application for the iPhone. This application let’s you manage BaseCamp projects right from the iPhone wherever you are. The best thing about Basetent is that it looks and works pretty like Basecamp on your PC, Mac or Linux computer. The native iPhone interface is good for Mail or iPod applications but effective Basecamp usage requires different approach that we have implemented in the Basetent. Basetent Lite is a free version supporting only one project per account.

iBeam, $0.99 – Beam contact information and photos wirelessly over WiFi from iPhone to iPhone. Reminds me of the old Palm days with beaming info over IR. Also you can send vCard via email or via barcode. iBeam allows you to instantly “beam” (send) contact information and photos directly to another iPhone over wifi, to any other device via email, or use a barcode to optically transfer contact information. iBeam fills the need of many iPhone users by allowing them to instantly “Beam” contact information or photos directly to each other. Currently iPhone users have to type in or write down contact info and it can be frustrating. Other smart phones have had “beaming” ability for years and until now it was lacking on the iPhone.

iSpreadsheet, $2.99 – spreadsheet application with Google Documents integration, CSV compliance, full cell formatting, formula and arithmetic support. Like carrying Excel on your mobile. You can now access your most important documents online or offline. Scroll the spreadsheet by flicking and dragging. Make changes directly to any cell by tapping.
Mocha VNC, $5.99 – remote access to your Windows or Mac via VNC. Mocha VNC provides access to a VNC Server. Using your iPhone, you can connect to a Windows PC or Mac OS X and see the files, programs, and resources exactly as you would if you were sitting at your desk, just on a smaller screen. Not quite as polished as Jaadu VNC, but way cheaper.
Network Ping, $3.99 – Ping, traceroute and telnet. Very useful tool for techies. Also displays your iPhone or iPod touch’s IP address. Get an easy view for a full subnet on a single screen. Look at the screen to the left displaying the status for devices 192.168.2.0 – 192.168.2.255. Green and the device is working, yellow, there is a problem, and red, the device is not any longer on the LAN.
Need telnet access to a router, no problem, a Telnet console application is also included. They also offer a free lite version that lacks the telnet and saving IP addresses.
